Once a month rants are beginning to seem like miles and miles apart… I think I’m beginning to want to write these things more often. Seriously so many good topics just get left out in the ether by writing these once of twice a month. As of late I’ve been writing less and less, because me schedule has been going further and further down into chaos and despair. What was going to be the moment I wrote my rant last month, became the ‘catch-up’ time from an inter-state anime convention. None the less I’m glad I did it, I just feel bad for not writing a rant about it.
My sketch pad hasn’t been neglected however. I think I’ve never made more concept sketches for anything before, at least nothing that’s been my primary focus for quite this length of time. I always seem to run out of paper far too early, but one thing I can count on is that my pacer is a tank. I don’t mean that in the quite literal sense, more that its still going strong. In spite of the years of horrible abuse I’ve dealt out using it, it hasn’t even come close to breaking yet. What’s more I haven’t lost it either, and I grown quite used its contours.
I’ve finally settled on the appearance of my starship and its main male crew members. I’ve really got to flesh out the girls more, but to be honest, I haven’t even finished the scenes that involve any of my main characters aside from Risky. Huge scripting is something I’ve never had to do. Its so much easier to just to want to draw and forget about the script, but that’s really not helping me get the comic off the ground. I really need to knuckle down and get to writing my comic, as opposed to drawing it.
By the way, if you feel like supporting me, I have finally managed to sort out getting copies of my poster. You can read more about it here: Biological Hazard
